Oct 21, 2014·We currently use cloth wipes with water alone but I have a problem with mildew. Does the witch hazel/aloe combination prevent this? I’m hoping so because the reusable wipes work great with cloth diapers. I don’t have to worry about throwing the wipes in the trash and the cloth diapers in the pail–they all just go into one spot. Thanks!!

A sweet orange or tea tree spray could be used to disinfect and de-scent the diaper trash after it's been taken out, or even used for hands in place of antibacterial hand-gel. A lavender spray could be used on diaper rashes (lavender and witch hazel are healing and calming for skin irritations) or sprayed on bedding before bed.

I'm reposting my question to see if I can get any help with cloth diaper decisions! Has anyone used a variety of cloth diapers? We plan to go with BumGenius, but also getting some FuzziBunz. My thought was the variety in fit and style would be good. Is it all a matter of preference?

I’ve been using Kissaluv’s concentrate (only adding a little bit of witch hazel, mostly water) and couldn’t figure out why it kept growing things!! The instructions on the concentrate didn’t say anything about using boiled or distilled water.

Aug 24, 2010·Cloth diapers are breathable, allowing air to flow freely through them. This constant air movement provides a natural, dry environment without using harsh chemicals next to baby’s skin. In most cases, rashes are “gone with the wind”. Unfortunately, not even using cloth guarantees a rash-free childhood for your little one.
To use witch hazel for skin burns, soak either a soft cloth or a sturdy paper towel with the solution. Then gently press onto the burn. Don’t rub it in, as this can cause further irritation.
